[tps_footer]Dabbang actor Salman Khan recently launched a football game in India, Indian Super League (ISL)’s young champions. These young champions are the ones that would later be selected for the ISL (grouped as aged 10- 13). Nita Ambani accompanied Salman during the launch on December 7, 2014.
The superstar Khan, Salman Khan appeared svelte in a red tee, denims, neon sports shoes and of course, his lucky bracelet. Nita Ambani, on the other hand, even though she is the owner of ISL, was seen in a Mumbai City FC jersey paired with denims and a cool blue aviator.
ISL and now, Young Champions, was the idea of Nita Ambani, who believes in going to the grass root of ISL, by giving nothing but the best to football. Salman Khan, on the other hand, who was rumoured to be co-sponsoring the FC Pune City in ISL, took great interest in the sport, as he was even spotted playing the game of football not only with Nita Ambani, but also the real playing champions.

Inspite of his busy schedule with movies Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Bajrangi Bhaijan, the Kick star Salman Khan managed to come grace the event with his presence. When asked about his experience at the event, Salman Khan said “I am happy to be part of the #grassroots programme and Mrs. Ambani’s vision to develop India as a footballing nation. This programme will shape the next generation of Indian footballers”.
Wife of multi-millionaire Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani believes, “Education and sports play an important role in the development of a child and in nation-building. Sports is vital to the holistic development of young people, fostering their physical, social and emotional health”
Even if we only see Salman Khan and Nita Ambani getting all the limelight during the event, there are other people involved in the process too. Those involved include- The 8 ISL Clubs, Reliance Foundation as well as 3 NGOs- Magic Bus, Slum Soccer and Yuwa. Mrs. Nita Ambani aims to reach as many football passionates as possible through 500,000 children by introducing in-school and maidan initiatives by early 2015. 100,000 footballs are also expected to be distributed in the process.
We hereby wish Salman Khan, Nita Ambani and ISL all the luck, and hope for lots more future success.
