[tps_footer]Bollywood actors Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Siddharth, Atul Kulkarni reunited to celebrate 10 years of their blockbuster movie, ‘Rang De Basanti’. The actors along with their director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, writer Swanand Kirkire, producer Ronnie Screwwala and choreographer Ganesh Acharya held a press conference on January 25, 2016 to celebrate the impact of the movie. Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman also graced the event with her presence. R Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kapoor were missing from the event due to prior commitments. This movie changed the face of Bollywood and defined modern patriotism and now has become the cult classic.
Aamir, Sharman, Atul and Siddharth revived a lot of memories from their audition days to shooting of the movie. During the press conference, Aamir Khan got a bit emotional and said “It is an emotional moment for us. It has been a unique experience while working on this film. It feels good that the film has had an effect on the audience. I agree with our director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra that a film belongs to the audience upon its release. We are grateful to people for their love and support.”
Aamir Khan revealed that playing the character of Chandrashekhar Azad and working with Waheeda Rehman were the biggest thing ever. The entire team of ‘Rang De Basanti’ wore a black T-shirt which read the lines from the title track, ‘Mohe Mohe Tu Rang De Basanti’. The actors also danced to their popular track ‘Paathshala’ and launched a documentary based on the film. The entire team was bit emotional on completing 10 years and the impact it had on the audience.[/tps_footer]
