DELHI: Bollywood continued to have its presence at the Indian Bridal Fashion Week (IBFW) in Delhi, which reached its concluding days over the weekend. While Chitrangada Singh and Esha Gupta were showstoppers on Day 5, Alia Bhatt was the showstopper for the grand finale.
Chitrangada Singh, who is already married, came adorned as a bride as she sported a red and silver lehenga for designer Suneet Verma. While the design seemed very intricate and heavy, Chitrangada wore minimal jewellery to balance it out, while also keeping her hair on the side.
Esha Gupta, on the other hand, was totally in red. Designed by Adarsh Gill, a chunari covered her bold red lehenga tinged with a dash of gold. Esha Gupta was high on the jewellery though, as her neck was adorned with diamonds.
Alia Bhatt did the catwalk for a jewellery brand on Day 6 – the grand finale. She was the showstopper in her golden outfit. The jewellery she wore was inspired by the saat pheras of the Hindu marriage tradition. She also mentioned that if she got married in the near future, she would wear a Manish Malhotra lehenga for the big day.
The IBFW saw a steady stream of Bollywood at the fashion show. Looks like this blend of fashion with films will continue beyond too.
