[tps_footer]Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor was snapped at the launched the Absolut Elyx Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards issue on December 23, 2015 at the Olive Bar & Kitchen, Bandra, Mumbai. The Absolut Elyx Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards were held on November 30, 2015 at the Taj Lands’ End in Mumbai. The second edition of the fashion awards was a rollicking affair. The idea behind the show was to celebrate the most stylish people in the film fraternity as well as the most glamorous Hindi movies from 2015.

Sonam Kapoor reminisced the stellar evening and shared anecdotes from having won the Most Stylish Star (Female) and Absolut Elyx Style & Substance Awards. Sporting an off-white netted one piece with white heels, Sonam looked stunning in white. The actress was seen sporting minimal accessories and looked extremely classy with her hair neatly tied up in a retro braided bun.
Sonam also shared about her experience working in Neerja Bhanot’s biopic, ‘Neerja’. She said “ She(Neerja) always believed in doing the right thing. I did all this research on her. I spoke to her friends and family, people who knew her, worked with her, a lot photographers, ad filmmakers and her crew members. They all said that she only interested in doing the right thing and it didn’t matter what it was. It was always the principle of the thing. That’s what i learned from it. It’s not what i brought to the film but it is what the film brought into my life. ”

Sonam spoke about where she gets her fashion inspiration and her celeb fashion icons. She said “Nutan, Katharine Hepburn, Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Rekha. They all dress in a certain way. They are all fashion icons. That is why they are legendary.” The actress also opened up on the comparisons made between her and new kid on the Bollywood block, Athiya Shetty. She said “I love Athiya. I think she is very beautiful. She is very sweet and I think she is like a gazelle.” When asked about being called the fashion icon of the country, Sonam said “I’d rather people call me stylish than a fashionista.”
