MUMBAI: After no one from the Bollywood fraternity turned up for Sudhakar Bokade’s funeral, it was heartening to see at least a few Bollywood personalities attend the prayer meet.
Eminent Bollywood personalities like Govinda, Jackie Shroff and Anupam Kher, who were regulars in films in the nineties, attended the prayer meet held for Sudhakar Bokade.
While Jackie Shroff had worked in two films that Sudhakar Bokade had produced – ‘Sapne Saajan Ke’ (1992) and ‘Kalinga’ (1996) – Govinda and Anupam Kher attended out of goodwill. Also spotted at the prayer meet was actor Murali Sharma.
Sudhakar Bokade was the producer of many hit films of the ’90s, including ‘Saajan’, ‘Dhanwaan’, and ‘Prahaar’.
The actors, looking depressed and forlorn paid their last respects to Sudhakar Bokade while staying back for the entire prayer meet.
It was good to see a few friends remember Sudhakar Bokade and supporting his family in his last moments. Rest in peace, Sudhakar Bokade.
