Sooraj Barjatya films are always home centric and family oriented, but Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was gigantic in both terms. The movie did not just feature one single location but instead featured loads of mind boggling palaces and one of the most enchanting one was Sheesh Mahal. Salman Khan’s film ‘PRDP’ had a very special location of Sheesh Mahal which was painstakingly created by the team of the film.
The making of the magnificent location is finally out with its secrets. Talking about the set, mirror palace better known as Sheesh Mahal, superstar Salman Khan commented, “I have never seen a set like this in my entire film career. I think it was the most beautiful, aesthetically done Sheesh Mahal.”
The palace took around 300 workers to take shape. Each mirror on the palace is physically given a shape to fit in the design. Hardworking filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya wanted to witness grandeur with his film ‘PRDP’ and hence the set too was designed accordingly. The palace not only is an artistic creation but it also serves a purpose and a meaning in the story.
