MUMBAI: The music launch of Sanjay Dutt-starrer ‘Policegiri’ was a sombre affair, as the leading man Dutt is cooling his heels in prison, due to his connection in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
The team of ‘Policegiri’ was sombre due to Dutt’s absence from the promotions, but carried on the music launch in full force at Infiniti Mall in Malad, Mumbai. Producer Rahul Agarwal and heroine Prachi Desai spoke about Dutt and the fact that he was there with them in spirit.
In Sanjay Dutt’s absence, the producers T.P. Agarwal and Rahul Aggarwal have become innovative and unveiled a first-of-its-kind campaign, ‘WRITE2 SANJAY’, for fans to send a direct message to Sanjay Dutt.
“We miss Sanjay Dutt terribly. We don’t want to trouble his family during such a time, to be a part of our film’s promotions. As filmmakers and a friend of the Dutts’, we will not play the sympathy card. Instead, we will do our best to take the message of his fans to him,” said Rahul Aggarwal.
