3. Salman Khan as the dutiful brother-in-law can make anyone respect their sisters-in-law in more ways than one. He had unconditional respect for Renuka Shahane in the film and that is enough to please your heart.
4. Indians love weddings and this film had all the kinds. One where the hero and heroine come closer and one where they decide to stay afar forever which however ends in happy endings. Some mischief, some heartfelt melody and a lot of rona-dhona! We love it all.
5. There may be plenty of songs but even today, no wedding can complete without ‘Didi Tera Devar Deewana’ or ‘Jutey De Do Paisey Le Lo’.
6. Every guy wanted to be Prem who falls for the spunky Nisha and every girl wants to be Nisha so that Prem can fall for her. Can any film of today make people be the characters on screen? We doubt that.
7. The romance…it was subtle yet candid, sensuous yet non-vulgar, plain yet evoking! The song ‘Pehla Pehla Pyaar Hai’ has been shot so beautifully that you can feel the romantic tension bringing Prem and Nisha together even when they aren’t touching each other.
8. ‘Uhun…Uhun’….Can anyone forget Madhuri Dixit’s immensely popular cough which was a signal for Salman to react? Of course not!
9. Madhuri Dixit with her dazzling smile and beautiful moves made many men swoon over her then and now.
10. For being the best family film ever made in Indian Cinema. Yes it is the remake of Rajshri Productions’ own movie Nadiya Ke Paar but Hum Aapke Hain Koun will always be the one people will remember.[/tps_footer]
