After venturing into the clothing line Being Human, Salman Khan is all set to enter into the business of theatres. Salman Khan is all set to launch a new multiplex titled ‘Salman Talkies’ with six screens across the state of Maharashtra. It is reported that Salman is keen to begin his dream project in Maharashtra with a bang in Diwali with the two big releases- Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. It looks like the Wanted actor is excited to please the single screen audience and also Salman Khan has planned to expand the theatre chain to Uttar Pradesh by early 2017.
Reportedly, Salman Khan will be lending his name to a theatre chain to promote tax-free viewing. As of now, six single screens across Maharashtra have been roped in and more locations are being explored. Tickets for films at his theatres will be available at heavily subsidised rates and free for children. Salman will be launching each screen himself.
The actor has a special team that is looking into the legal aspects of the entire project and also the locations are being finalised. Apart from the interiors, the team has already decided two locations in Mumbai in the areas of Bandra and Juhu. Khan is also unhappy over the price hike of the movie tickets. With this, the theatre chain titled ‘Salman Talkies’ will have the tickets priced as cheap as 100 rupees.
If this was not enough, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor has also expressed his interest in two sea facing properties, one in Juhu and the other in Bandra. Once finalised, the actor wants his two-storey bungalow with a personal gym, a swimming pool and a private theatre.
However, Salman Khan will be next seen with two releases in 2017- Kabir Khan’s Tubelight and YRF’s Tiger Zinda Hai.
