[tps_footer]Aamir Khan who is known as Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, had caught himself in the most disputable, debatable and politically sensitive controversy ever. Aamir Khan’s remark on intolerance landed him into major trouble.
The actor’s recent statement on the growing intolerance in India had sparked up a controversy, which created outrage on social media too. Not only that, Aamir Khan has also been replaced by Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra for Incredible India campaign, post controversy.
Just after Aamir was embroiled in a controversy, even ecommerce company Snapdeal stopped using the actor in its ads. The ecommerce company who signed Khan as its brand ambassador in February last year, is now running the ads without the actor.
“It is a fair assessment for Snapdeal. You can’t have someone like that as a brand ambassador, considering Snapdeal has a consumer connect,” said Suhel Seth, managing partner of consultancy Counselage India.
“It’s a travesty that in India a brand ambassador’s personal point of view affects the image of the brand that they are endorsing,” Seth added.
Well, reportedly, Snapdeal is likely to take a decision next week on Aamir Khan to be continued as a brand ambassador for their company or no.
On the work front, Aamir Khan is shooting for his upcoming film Dangal. ‘Dangal’ is based on the life of former wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his three daughters and one niece for the Commonwealth Games. The ‘PK’ star will yet again charm the audience with his versatile performance in his upcoming movie. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ is slated to release this year in December![/tps_footer]
