[tps_footer]The first official look of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from her new film Sarbjit had been released a few days ago and showed the 42-year-old actress sitting at a desk, dressed simply in a salwar kameez. Rai is essaying the role of Sarabjit Singh‘s sister Dalbir Kaur. The movie directed by Omung Kumar is set to be narrated from Dalbir’s point of view.

Randeep Hooda who plays Sarabjit will reportedly be sporting five distinctive looks in the film. The movie is already in the news thanks to Hooda losing a whooping 18kgs in just 28 days for parts of the movie. Aishwarya Rai also made the media buzz when she visited the Golden Temple to shoot portions of this film.
In the newly released pictures from the film, it very obvious as to how beautiful former ‘Miss World’ Aishwarya Rai really is! Even in a very de-glam avatar as she is seen in the film, she is strikingly gorgeous. She also looks rather sad and gloomy in these pictures and we can only wait for the film to release to see what her role is actually all about. Hooda is seen sporting a very lean physique and smiling in a very sporting manner.
The movie is set to release on May 19th and is based on Sarabjit Singh, who was an Indian national convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court. After a brief trial in the Lahore High Court he was condemned and sentenced to death in 1991, but the sentence was repeatedly postponed by the Government of Pakistan. While in prison in April 2013, he was attacked by fellow inmates and died six days later at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.

The film also stars Actress Richa Chadha who will play the role of Sarbjit‘s wife Sukhpreet as well as Darshan Kumaar in a pivotal role.
