AHMEDABAD: On the evening of 31st August, Friday, Ajay Devgn hosted an exciting Google Hangout session live for Mr Narendra Modi at Ahmedabad!
The ‘Singham’ Devgn flew immediately via charter from his shoot from Hyderabad for Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala to host this extraordinary moment for Mr. Modi which saw a spectacular response not just from India but internationally as well!
The Hangout was a historic moment as this is the first time an Indian political leader is using the forum to engage with people across the world. Other leaders who have held Google+ Hangout sessions include USA President Barack Obama and the Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gilliard.
The Hangout Session, which was hosted and moderated by Ajay Devgn saw Shri Modi answer over 18 questions that were divided into 2 sessions. Most of the questions were LIVE and were ranging domestic and international issues.
A thoroughly engaging, informative and straight from the heart the Google+ Hangout session created a viral frenzy on the Internet and social media with people from across the world. The Hangout was centered on the theme of ‘Strong and Glorious India Long Cherished by Swami Vivekananda’ and the questions were sourced from various sources on the net including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Mr. Modi’s website. When the last date for asking questions closed on midnight of 29th August there were already over 20,000 questions for Mr. Modi, with people from 116 nations across the world logging in to hear him share his thoughts during the Hangout.
Modi stressed on the need to promote a culture of skill development among the youngsters and shared some of Gujarat’s initiatives in this regard.
The Hangout was watched all over the world and received a fantastic response even on social media sites, Facebook and Twitter. For the entire day #AjayDevgn and #ModiHangout were trending at the top position on Twitter.
This historic event further continues the strong association shared by Ajay Devgn with Mr Narendra Modi. The actor along with Kumar Mangat and the Roha Group has invested in a huge state of the art solar park at Charanka, Gujarat which is initiated by Modi and was inaugurated by him amidst much fanfare recently.
