MUMBAI: Mohit Marwah is a well-known name in the Bollywood party circuit. The nephew of Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor is set to have his big break in Bollywood. And his mentor in-charge is Akshay Kumar.
There are reports that Akshay Kumar and Ashvini Yardi have signed in Mohit Marwah for their next film ‘Fugly’. The film will be produced under Akshay Kumar and Ashvini Yardi’s company Grazing Goat Pictures, which earlier has produced the critically acclaimed ‘OMG – Oh My God!’.
Kabir Sadanand, who earlier has directed ‘Tum Milo Toh Sahi’ and ‘Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao’ will be directing ‘Fugly’.
Interestingly, Olympic bronze-medalist and boxer, Vijender Singh will also be making his debut in this film.
Ashvini Yardi confirms that Mohit Marwah has been signed for the film and says, “We auditioned many actors for the lead, but we wanted someone with a strong personality and boyish charm. Mohit fits the requirements. He will play Dev in the film.”
Mohit has studied at the Theatre School in New York and has also acted in Shakun Batra’s short film ‘Strangers In The Night’ produced by Karan Johar.
‘Fugly’, a film about two boys and a girl will go on floors in September and will be shot in Delhi and Ladakh.
So with Akshay Kumar launching Mohit Marwah in Bollywood, this is surely a great ‘Welcome’ for the newbie.
