Ali Fazal, who started his career from 3 Idiots and then Fukrey will soon be seen in the next installment of Fast And The Furious.
However, Ali had to say no to the American television project Homeland as he was busy shooting for Bobby Jasoos and Mahesh Bhatt‘s Khamoshiyan.
“I was approached for Homeland, and it was a great opportunity. But when they asked me for my dates, those were given to Mukesh sir’s film and my promotions for Bobby Jasoos. Thus, there was no question of any talks because these films were important.” stated Ali Fazal.
The makers of Homeland wanted Ali Fazal to fly down to America in the first week of July for the workshop, and the shoot was set to start soon after. In the last three years, Homeland has become one of the most popular television series across the globe.
Never the less, if not Homeland, Ali Fazal has something to feel happy about as he has got a chance to work in the forthcoming edition of the Fast And The Furious series, which will release in 2015.
Coming to his upcoming film, Bobby Jasoos, Ali Fazal states that Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha, who are producing the movie, had to cajole him a lot to star in the film, which has actress Vidya Balan playing the protagonist.
“It took a lot of convincing from Dia and Sahil to get me on board this film. I had my own questions regarding the film, my role and where I would fit in a movie which has a female protagonist,” informed Ali.
Ali is currently shooting Khamoshiyan, which has prevented him from touring cities for promotions of Bobby Jasoos post that, he will start shooting for Ramesh Sippy‘s Sonali Cable opposite Rhea Chakraborty.[/tps_footer]
