Amitabh Bachchan, who has been the brand ambassador of many government campaigns such as polio eradication, saving the tiger and Swachh India campaign, took to his Twitter account to deny all the speculations about him doing an advertisement film of the Narendra Modi government.
There were rumours about Big B featuring in a TV advertisement, aimed at Indians and sending a positive message of rising above religion for inclusive development. As soon as the rumours started to flood in, Amitabh Bachchan wasted no time and came forward to clarify that he in fact isn’t associated with any such advertisement film of Modi government.
A rumour involving a big superstar and government, the issue was expected to take a political turn and it eventually did. The movement reports of Amitabh Bachchan featuring in an advertisement film of Modi government came out, Congress took shots at the government. On Wednesday, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said, “Now the crow is imitating the swan’s movement. All this camouflaging, all this gimmickry and advertising will not substitute what the government has done on issues like conversion”.
Going by the reports, the advertisement was expected to be out by Republic Day.
