Farhan Akhtar’s recently released film Rock On 2 has drastically failed at the Box Office in domestic as well as in overseas market. The musical drama film, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Prachi Desai, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Shashank Arora in the lead, has failed to draw the audience in the threatres. There are several reasons behind the film’s failure. One of the reasons can be the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes by the Modi government.
Rock On 2 opened to a poor collection and continued to show the same trend. The film failed to show the growth in collections since then. The film collected Rs 2.50 crore nett approx (25 million) on Saturday and continued with the same trend on Sunday too with Rs. 2.50 crore nett approx. (25 million) The further collections of the film have dropped abruptly. The film did a business of Rs 1.25 crore nett approx (12 million) on Monday and dropped further with Rs 90 Lakhs (9 million) nett approx on Tuesday. The total collection of the film stands at Rs. 8.95 crore (89.5 million) nett approx.
The film is expected to do a business of around Rs.10.50 crore nett approx in its first week.
