Debutants Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher starrer Mirzya opened to a low start at the box office and has turned out to be the disaster film of 2016. Mirzya is an adaption of a Punjabi folklore ‘Mirza-Sahiban’ and the first glimpse of the film was quite impressive enough and the masses were also looking forward to watching the film. But on the day of the release, Mirzya drastically failed to impress the audience in the theatres despite getting good reviews from the critics.
Despite a lot of buzz around the film, Mirzya could not create the same impact at the theatres. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya witnessed a dull first-day collection of Rs. 1.75 crore nett approx (17.5 million) and the collections of the film turned out to be a disaster over the weekend.
On the other hand, Tutak Tutak Tutiya starring Sonu Sood, Prabhudheva and Tamanna Bhatia and film MSG – The Warrior Lion Heart have also performed dull at the Box office.
