MUMBAI: Kareena Kapoor Khan, newly anointed Begum of Pataudi and erstwhile reigning Queen of Bollywood was snapped at the Mumbai airport recently. All alone.
It was a solitary evening for our very own Kareena, as she dashed off into the night to an undisclosed foreign locale. Nothing new about that, as our stars are always zooming in and out of town. But what caught our attention is that she was making this trip solo; without the Nawab Saif Ali Khan or even a posse of bodyguards/ attendants. Very strange…
Kareena looked fresh faced but glum, in her dark grey track suit and a pair of white chappals adoring her pretty feet. Pink lipstick and red nail paint couldn’t hide the sorrow and anguish in her eyes, of having to make this arduous journey all by herself. On one arm was a big oversized black designer bag, and her passport was held in the other hand.
If the bodyguards were around, we sure didn’t catch a glimpse of them. Kareena’s attendants were nowhere to be seen as she walked into the airport, cleared security checks and boarded the plane.
Kareena is keeping equally mum and discreet about her next role, reportedly in Karan Johar’s period drama. Sources claim Kareena has been offered the female lead, but she is being tightlipped about her involvement in the project.
Filmmaker Karan Johar is keen on roping in Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in his next untitled film, but the actress has revealed nothing if finalised.
“It’s not true. Karan had approached me for that film, we had a talk on it, but nothing is official right now. Nothing is concrete. Karan has a script in mind and he has offered me a role, but it’s too early to talk about it,” Kareena revealed to us.
She added, “I will be more than happy to work with Karan. I am very comfortable working with him.”
Recent reports also hinted at the possibility of Kareena’s husband, Saif, having an extended cameo in the film. But Kareena refutes this rumour as well, “It is absolutely untrue.”
Guess we will have to keep waiting and guessing until the official announcement is out, regarding ace filmmaker Karan Johar’s film.
