[tps_footer]Alia Bhatt, post the success of her back to back releases ‘Highway’ and ‘2 States’, Alia attended with mother Soni Razdan and father Mahesh Bhatt at the screening of his film ‘CityLights’. The screening was held at Lightbox, Mumbai.
The CityLights screening saw the Bhatt family, friends, along with the cast and crew – Rajkummar Rao, Patralekha, director Hansal Mehta and Producer Mahesh Bhatt.
Alia Bhatt was dressed comfortably in casuals along with a shrug and denims. She bonded well with the cast and crew at the event.
Alia had all praises for her fathers film, she was very excited to watch it and was extremely overwhelmed by the performances from everyone in the film.
“#CityLights has left me speechless !!! Emotional, beautiful and painfully honest..Rajkumar and Patralekha are outstanding..”, tweeted Alia.
CityLights is an upcoming Hindi film directed by Hansal Mehta starring Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the British film Metro Manila (2013). The film is presented by Fox Star Studios in association with Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt.
The story of the film is about a poor farmer from Rajasthan who comes to the City of Mumbai in search of livelihood with his wife and young child, hoping for a better life. His life struck by a tragedy, he migrates to Mumbai, and however, upon arriving, he soon discovers the challenges of life they face, their encounter with a big city and how they rise to meet those challenges in a big city.
CityLights is set to be released on 30 May, 2014.
