But what struck us as strange was the release date. It will release on September 5, the day Daawat-e-Ishq starring Parineeti Chopra releases.
Many might choose to believe that it was pure coincidence, we beg to differ here. Release dates of films are fixed and sealed much before the film goes on the floor.
Today, they go one step further by releasing the first look of a film which is yet a single frame. So it will be safe to deduce that the makers have decided the dates long before. It is also safe to deduce that they did weigh in the competition. If that is the case, why did none of them feel the need to do something about it? Bhansali is well aware how a worth competitor can prove fatal for his film. Saawariya never recovered from Om Shanti Om onslaught yet he slotted Mary Kom opposite Daawat-E-Ishq.
Is he taking the YRF film lightly? Priyanka Chopra may be a veteran now but lately, she hasn’t given a hit whereas Parineeti Chopra is increasingly gaining popularity with her amazing performances. Taking her lightly will be wrong we suggest.[/tps_footer]
