MUMBAI: The IIFA Awards is all set to receive a boost from Deepika Padukone. Deepika who has sizzled on the big screen to songs in her recent films like ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, will now dance to them live on the IIFA stage, which is to be held in Macau this year.
The 27 year-old Deepika Padukone is all set to perform to her songs like ‘Balam Pichkari’, ‘Angrezi Beat’ and ‘Tumhi Ho Bandhu’ at the IIFA Awards.
Deepika Padukone said in a statement that she was thrilled to be performing on the IIFA stage and that she would be dancing on her songs from ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. “This will also be my first visit to Macau and I hope my fans will enjoy my performance,” Deepika Padukone said.
Although this may be Deepika Padukone’s first time in Macau, the IIFA Awards is, in fact, staging a return to this East Asian region after the IIFA Awards were held there in 2009.
The IIFA Awards is now in its 14th edition. The 13th edition in 2012 had taken place in Singapore.
We will be looking forward to seeing Deepika Padukone sizzle the stage. The IIFA Awards will take place in Macau on 6 July, 2013.
