[tps_footer]Disney is spinning its first Indian fairy tale with Khoobsurat this September. Taking an old premise and weaving a royal magic on it, Khoobsurat looks pretty promising. But there is something that we have observed which has left us amazed. The official Facebook page of the film is busy promoting the newcomer lead of the film Fawad Khan instead of Sonam Kapoor.
It is fairly active page with seven out of 10 posts on Fawad and Fawad alone, talking about his character, charisma and confidence. He plays a Rajasthani prince with a no nonsense attitude who eventually falls for a high-spirited, funky and spunky girl Mili played by Sonam Kapoor. Now nobody is unaware of Fawad’s growing popularity in India. His show Zindagi Gulzar Hai couldn’t have been timed any better than this.
Today he is as popular as Sonam Kapoor in India and it seems given his popularity among girls, Disney is relying heavily on his charm to get the footfalls. To be honest, Sonam’s last film was Bewakoofiyan which didn’t work satisfactorily. Is that the reason behind the continous Fawad promotions? Just saying!
