MUMBAI: After the successful launch of Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor, we have it from a very reliable source that Aditya Chopra intends to launch at least 8 newcomers in 2012.
“This is a strategy to strengthen Yashraj’s talent bank. While the big-ticket stars Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif are already being cast in two future projects, the company also wants to further substantiate its talent resources at a basic level. Yashraj has proven in the recent past that they can make successful films with newcomers. They want to build on that.”
The hunt for new talent at Yashraj Films is relentless. At the moment, the banner is getting all set to launch a new leading lady mode; Vaani Kapoor in Maneesh Sharma’s next film which already stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra.
Says our source, “Maneesh’s film has two heroines. A new girl Vaani is being launched alongside Parineeti and the new girl has an equally strong role.”
We hear Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma together with Yashraj’s casting director Shanu Sharma have been auditioning many newcomers.
