The Fukrey Boys have returned but has Fukrey Returns managed to win hearts?
The Fukrey Boys created a laughter riot with their prequel ‘Fukrey’. And they sure are reaping the fruits of their misadventures in ‘Fukrey Returns’.
Team Fukery Returns left no stone unturned for promoting their movie. From going to dhabas to eat food to releasing mini teasers of each character! Each of their characters has its own quirky poster, too! This was not all! The star cast of the film promoted their movie where the masses were. Where were they, you ask? Mumbai’s one of the busiest Metro stations! Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma and Richa Chadha went for a joyride from Andheri Metro station. The group was seen having fun and even posed for the camera.
Pulkit Samrat, Ali Zafar, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Richa Chadha starrer has released today. Audiences are thronging to the cinemas near them to learn more about Choocha’s not-so-great predictable dreams.
Let us see how ‘Fukrey Returns’ fared from the eyes of the vigilant Twitterati:
Clearly, the movie has gotten mixed reviews. While some are praising ‘Fukrey Returns’, some are calling it the weaker twin of its prequel. ‘Fukrey’ was fresh air to the otherwise stagnant comedy scene in Bollywood during 2013. But its sequel, till now, has not created a lasting effect.
The soundtrack of the movie has not fared well, either. The first song—’Mehbooba’ is a remake of the hit yesteryear song ‘O Meri Mehbooba’ from 1977’s ‘Dharam Veer’. Later came the ultimate song of bromance— ‘Tu Mera Bhai Nahi Hai’. The song’s video featured Pulkit Samrat a.k.a Hunny and Varun Sharma a.k.a Choocha’s antics. While very easy going the song didnt create any hype either.
‘Fukrey Returns’ is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
