Bal Keshav Thackeray was the founder of Shiv Sena. Currently, Balasaheb’s Grandson Rahul Thackeray and his daughter-in-law Smita Thackeray are in the process making a biopic on the late leader Bal Thackeray. It is heard that they have shortlisted a few celebs name for the lead actor in the biopic and one name is Akshay Kumar.
In a recent interview held for the film Rustom, Akshay Kumar was questioned if he would like to play the lead in Balasaheb Thackeray’s biopic, to which the actor replied that he himself doesn’t know if he will suit the role. Whoever is the filmmaker have to first think if Akshay suits the character and then decide it. When he was asked if not you then who might suit the role he said that he does not know that as Balasaheb is a huge personality and he can’t suggest names for such a great person.

Talking about biopic film in Indian cinema, Akshay Kumar was reported saying that he thinks biopics are of a great person’s story which comes in front of the audience and they would love to see how they became great, so it’s good to make biopics. According to Akshay Kumar, biopics work for India so he is happy that India is making it.
After Rustom, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the film Jolly LLB 2 and the sequel of Rajinikanth’s film Robot.
