Today, the Supreme court refused to grant protection from arrest to the singer. His request of quashing FIR lodged against him in Haryana is also declined. A bend of Justices V Gopala Gowda and Adarsh Kumar Goel took this decision and also told he could approach the concerned high court. On the other hand, Advocate Karuna Nundy, appearing for Dadlani, asked protection from arrest, saying if the FIR is not revoked, he could be arrested by the police.
Vishal’s counsel even recommended that protection from arrest could at least be granted till they moved the high court. But even this request was refused by the bench who told him to move to the high court for relief.
Along with Vishal, a FIR was also filed against Tahseen Poonawala, a Congress activist by the Ambala Cantt police. Even he tweeted against the Jain monk on his Twitter account.
