According to the recent reports, Kangana Ranaut’s close friend has revealed to a leading tabloid on how everything started between Hrithik and Kangana. Reportedly, the friendship between Hrithik and Kangana Ranaut started when they both were going through a rough patch, during the shooting of ‘Kites’ in 2009. Reports also suggest, during same time, Hrithik’s marriage with Sussanne was on the edge of divorce and also his relationship with his ‘Kites’ co-star, Mexican model actress Barbara Mori, was not working out at all.
“It started out as a friendship between two people who were both going through a rough patch, during the shooting of Kites in 2009. His marriage was in trouble and his relationship with his Kites co-star, Mexican model actress Barbara Mori, wasn’t working out. Kangana was going through troubles of her own and they found solace in each other’s company and became good friends,” revealed the source to the tabloid.
While Hrithik was depressed with his personal life, Kangana Ranaut was facing troubles of her own equally, due to her not so happening career. That’s how the two found solace in each other’s company and they grew closer to each other. In fact, Hrithik had also approached and convinced Kangana for his home production Krrish 3.
“Even though Kangana’s career was not exactly shining at the time, she said no to Hrithik. She felt rather uncomfortable with the attention he was showing,” said Kangana’s friend.
After a wait of 6 months, Kangana Ranaut finally said yes for the film in which she played a negative role. They later got into a relationship after Hrithik confided her that he and his wife Sussanne slept in separate bedrooms.

Adds the friend, “That’s when they got into a relationship after he confided in her that he and his wife (Sussanne) slept in separate bedrooms. However, Kangana could never talk about the relationship openly as Hrithik had told her categorically that he would never divorce Sussanne.”
