Humshakal-Cover-Pic[tps_footer]Humshakals has managed to stay in to news for all the wrong reasons. First it was Bipasha Basu, then came in the reviews, this was followed by its Box Office collections and now it’s about what Esha Gupta and her quote.

As reported earlier, in an interview Esha Gupta was quoted as somewhat regretful of having worked in Humshakals. She was also reported to have mentioned that her father did not watch the film.

Esha now says she has been misquoted in this report. According to Esha, she is happy to be a part of Humshakals, and is not at all shaken by what the critics had to say about the film.

“There has been a lot of conjecture on an article which has recently been printed regarding my views on my film Humshakals. This is to clarify that I stand by and am proud of being part of Humshakals. It seems that I have been misquoted on many counts,” stated Esha Gupta.

Esha Gupta even clarified why her father has not seen the film. She stetted, “With regards to me asking my father not to watch the film was only given his introvert and shy nature being an ex-defence personnel, he doesn’t usually enjoy slapstick comedies. The only film of mine that my dad has liked has been Chakravyuh. My mother and sister flew down to Mumbai for Humshakals screening and they thoroughly enjoyed the film. I have and will always respect my director Sajid Khan. He has worked extremely hard on the film.”

Regarding her role in the film, she said, “Concerning my role I was fully aware of it before getting into the film and I stand by it. A comedy of this nature requires a different technique of acting which can be misconstrued however, I’m thankful to my director, producer and co-actors for supporting me throughout the journey of this film. I’m proud of being part of Humshakals, and it has and will always be a very dear film to me.”

Well Esha, we got your point loud and clear and we do believe you. [/tps_footer]
