Imran Khan And Avantika Malik who became parents to a baby girl on June 09, 2014 have named their daughter Imara Malik Khan.
“It’s a Swahili name, which means strong and resolute,” says a proud father Imran Khan.
Imran stated that it was Avantika, his wife, who found the name. “She was doing all the work. Initially, I was quite hesitant because I felt it sounded like Imran, and it seemed egocentric. But then it came to a point where I didn’t like any other name,” added Imran Khan.
Imran Khan is the newest addition to the list of Bollywood actors who have turned father recently. Imran and his wife Avantika, who got married in the year 2011, became proud parents to a baby girl who was born on June 09, 2014.
Friends close to the couple say that the baby looks like a mini Imran. Interestingly, Imran had mentioned that he’d be happy to have a baby girl. The happy father looked elated cradling his little daughter in his arms as he posed for the shutterbugs when Avantika was discharged from the hospital.
Talking about how life has changed ever since he has become a father, Imran said, “It feels different the second you see the baby. I just looked at Imara and I crumbled and fell. Had it been a boy, somewhere, I think I would’ve been okay. This is a father-daughter thing. I looked at her and I thought, my life is over now. All my life, I will be on my knees and running after her.”
