Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma have taken the Internet by storm ever since the announcement of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.
It is director Imtiaz Ali’s birthday and Anushka Sharma revealed the first look of Shah Rukh Khan as a sardar in Jab Harry Met Sejal. The photo has Shah Rukh in a turban and herself as Sejal in a Punjabi suit and the director as all three sitting on a bike.
Anushka posted this picture and wrote, “Happy happy to Imtiaz sir ji !! Thank you for making Anushka meet Sejal.”
Talking about the film, the story revolves around a tourist guide, Harinder Singh Nehra aka Harry played by SRK, while Anushka plays a Gujarati girl, Sejal Parikh.
After filmmaker Imtiaz Ali announced the final title of the film Jab Harry Met Sejal, fans were highly disappointed with the title, as it sounds similar to two movies – Jab We Met and When Harry Met Sally. However, many even went on to claim that that film is probably a Hindi remake of American romantic comedy from the 80’s When Harry Met Sally.
However, dismissing all such rumours, SRK told ANI that there is no similarity between the two films apart from their titles. He said, “The films have no similarity, except for the fact that we can hope our movie can also be one of that kind of unabashed classic love stories. When Harry Met Sally is one of the greatest love stories ever made in the history of world cinema… There’s nothing about the stories, which is similar. It is quite original, a fun space love story by Imtiaz Ali. But it is a takeoff from there (When Harry Met Sally) as that movie is a classic. It is a way to attribute.”
Shah Rukh Khan has also taken a positive step of averting a clash with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Toilet : Ek Prem Katha’. Earlier both the film were scheduled to release on August 11. This remarkable step augurs well for both the films as well as the cash-strapped film business.
Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan have earlier worked together in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
