Karan Johar Set To Work With Alia Bhatt In The Fault In Our Stars

Varun-&-Alia-snapped-on-their-way-to-Indore-for-HSKD-promotions006[tps_footer]Yesterday, we told you how Karan Johar has apparently bought the rights to The Fault In Our Stars. He wants to give it an Indian touch and release it. Well, although with great trepidation, we have accepted the fact that such a film looks inevitable now.

Further to it, we hear Alia Bhatt has been apparently selected to play the female lead in the remake.   Now, had it been 2012, we would have been deeply offended since this student of Karan had shown no spark. But now things have changed. Alia Bhatt has proved through Highway that she isn’t just another pretty face. The role was tailor-made for her and she delivered well. Then she went on to prove that she can do mature roles with 2 States.

We think Alia Bhatt will look good in the role of a cancer ridden girl with small death wishes. She has the spunk and activeness of the character etched in the book. The male lead is yet to be finalized.

We just hope the male lead is a better one because Augustus Waters is a boy who has fought cancer and won it only to get defeated by it later on. He is all-smiles, happy go lucky guy which often gets misunderstood in Bollywood as hyperactive, loud actor.

We just hope this time Karan Johar will get the right cast.[/tps_footer]
