[tps_footer]Lakme Fashion Week 2016 commenced with ace designer Manish Malhotra on Tuesday in Mumbai. Manish Malhotra raised the curtains of the most awaited fashion show with stars Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez as showstoppers.
Manish Malhotra’s spring summer collection included four elements earth, water, wind and fire. The models glammed up the runway wearing outfits mainly in hues of blue and white. Showstopper Jacqueline Fernandez stole the show in a stunning shimmery gown featuring sheer pink cape while Arjun Kapoor rocked the night with dark blue sherwani and jacket from Manish Malhotra’s collection.

Manish Malhotra’s silhouettes included eye-grabbing collection for women and men. Long skirts, Indo-western outfits, mesmerizing evening gowns and much more was a part of the collection to celebrate the feel of summer. The set of the show was created magnificently in a theme of the forest with the sounds of birds chirping in the background.
Talking about his collection, Manish Malhotra said, “The show is dedicated to beauty, to celebrate the feel of summer… This whole collection is very much focused on that.”

“Manish has dressed me on many occasions but I told him I just want to look my best today. The dress that I am wearing today, I never felt more beautiful and more like a princess. This is by far the most beautiful I ever felt, so thank you,” said Jacqueline.
Also, Bollywood celebs Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dia Mirza, Sophie Choudry, Farah Khan, Sooraj Pancholi, Sangeeta Bijlani, Ashish Chaudhary, Pernia Qureshi, Bhumi Pednekar and many others showed their presence to cheer their designer friend Manish Malhotra.
The five-day long fashion extravaganza will see a total of 90 designers who will display their collections on the runway this season, which includes Neeta Lulla, Nikhil Thampi, Anita Dongre, Monisha Jaising, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Masaba Gupta, Payal Singhal and Nishka Lulla.[/tps_footer]
