When Media Banned The Bollywood Celebs

amitabh bachchan [tps_footer]Media has been termed a necessary evil by many, especially our Bollywood celebrities. They hate media but cannot do without it as even after the surge of social media, press hasn’t lost its charm or popularity. But often, their real grudge against media comes out in the open and that’s when media takes a stand against. Yes, you need us but start respecting us too. Here are some of the Bollywood celebs who faced media’s ire when rubbed wrongly.

Salman Khan

It is a fairly recent controversy when Salman Khan’s bodyguards manhandled photographers who just wanted to click the Kick stars in different poses. What aggravated the situation was his no interest to offer an apology for the same. This led photographs to boycott him which didn’t matter to the actor at all. Photographers alleged that they wanted Salman to stand next to a poster and give a few clicks. He refused and they rued.

Shraddha Kapoor

You are new and successful but that doesn’t give you a license to behave in a snooty manner. Shraddha Kapoor it seems was unaware of this truth which won her media’s ban. After the success of Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, Shraddha’s refusal to get clicked at an event even after post reaching the spot two hours late, irked the media to no bounds and they quickly declared a ban on her. Shraddha had to tender an apology to get back all the media glare.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor

The otherwise polite and humble Nawab did rub the media the wrong way along with his begum Kareena Kapoor Khan. The couple was supposed to be present at an event for a shoe brand they endorse. When after many hours they were a no show, media walked out on them the moment they arrived.

Amitabh Bachchan

Even Big B wasn’t spared from media’s wrath. AB mentioned in his blog that the press had banned him. Apparently, a misguided source told them that he is supposedly involved in imposing the emergency and ban on press. It was the time when Bachchan was peaking with films like Deewar, Sharabi, Muqaddar Ka Sikander and others.[/tps_footer]
