Popular music composer Mikey McCleary has completely presented music in a very new trend. The fusion of contemporary music with old rhythms, Mikey McCleary takes pride in his collections.
Mikey McCleary believes in giving contemporary music twist classic oldies. But refrain from calling them remixes as he hates that. Recently his new album was released by Sa Re Ga Ma that is The Bartender Classic Bollywood With A Twist.
In this album there are total nine songs. The first song is Aaj Ki Raat Koi Aane Ko Hai from Anamika, the song is sung by Shalmali Kholgade. Apart from that there are, Tum Itna Jo Musukara Rahe Ho (Anushka Manchanda), Aaj Mausam (Mauli Dave), Aaiye Merherbaan (Saba Azad), Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhagi Si (Shalmali Kholgade), Ja Ja Ja Bewafa (Shalmali Kholgade), Awara Hoon (Shalmali Kholgade), Ude Jab Jab Zulfen Teri (Mauli Dave) and Woh Haseen Dard De Do (Shalmali Kholgade).
The speciality in this album, is that only females have sung these songs. The Bartender Series has two album Classic Bollywood and Shaken not Stirred 2011 and 2013 Classic Bollywood B Seventy has come already and it is very popular among listeners.
Now if this was not enough, Mikey McCleary has taken a bunch of his jingles and developed them into an album, titled TV Diner.
“A lot of people have asked me for full-length versions of my jingles thinking they are pre-existing songs by artistes. I thought it would be great fun to turn them into normal songs — pure music, without anything to have to do with brands,” says Mikey McCleary, who has worked on commercials for brands such as Vodafone, Titan and Lakme.
TV Diner a novel concept. “The appeal lies in the familiarity of the tunes, yet there are new things happening to them. It is as if the music I had created several years ago has come alive all over again.” says Mikey McCleary.
Here’s wishing Mikey McCleary all the best for a great musical journey.
