The banning of Pakistani artistes from working in India has become a crucial debate in Bollywood industry. After Uri terror attack, political parties demanded a ban on Pakistani actors and also threatened that if they are allowed to work here, the shooting and the release of their film will be stalled. The artistes including Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan and others were asked to leave the country in the given time or they will be pushed out. Following the protest, the Indian motion picture producers’ association (IMPPA) banned Pakistani actors and technicians from working in Bollywood.
The issue has become serious by all means and the political party has also stated that Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Raees’ which stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan will not have a smooth release in the nation. Additionally, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which stars Fawad Khan is also going to face problems.
As earlier we reported, both the films still have hopes to have a smooth release. IMPPA has requested MNS spokespersons Amey Khopkar and Shalini Thackeray to allow the release of ADHM and Raees without any trouble and ban as the shooting of the film was already done before the ban was imposed. Many including Shah Rukh Khan and makers of the film might be delighted with the news but there is still something bothering them.
According to a leading tabloid, Shah Rukh Khan will not be able to shoot with Mahira Khan for their upcoming film Raees. The makers of the film had already shot the major part of the film but some of the scenes and songs are yet to be completed. In order to complete them before time, the makers of Raees have to get Mahira Khan to India, which is quiet, not possible. As the film was slated to release next year in January, the makers didn’t rush to complete the shoot. Also, after shooting certain scenes earlier this year, SRK got busy with the shooting of his next films, The Ring and Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi. However, the recent ban has put director Rahul Dholakia in a complicated situation. As per reports, SRK will be shooting for the film in Mumbai while the makers will have to shoot with Mahira Khan in some foreign country. The makers of Raees will face a more of trouble when the shooting for a song will require them together.
It remains to see how and when the makers of Raees complete the shoot. The film is scheduled to release next year in January in a clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil.
