Vidya Balan is happy that her film is the first to release as there are two more films, Dibakar Banerjee‘s Byomkesh Bakshi and Anurag Basu‘s Jagga Jasoss, which have a similar theme.
“I am so thrilled that we are coming first. I am sure the other films will be different and they are all being made by wonderful directors and have amazing actors in it. But Bobby is the only female detective you know.” Vidya Balan said in an interview.
In Bobby Jasoos, Vidya Balan essays the role of a detective Bobby. Vidya Balan says in her school and college days, she used to do her fair share of spying when it came to matters of love.
“The spying bug is in everyone. As human beings we want to know about things that other’s don’t want to reveal. In school and college, I used to spy for friends or myself in order to get all information about a person, I had a crush on or if a friend of mine liked someone,” stated Vidya Balan.
Bobby Jasoos, which hits theatres this Friday, July 04, 2014, also stars Vidya Balan, Ali Fazal, Vinay Varma, Arjan Bajwa, Supriya Pathak, Tanvi Azmi, Zarina Wahab, Rajendra Gupta, Kiran Kumar and others.
