MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s highest grosser in 2012 ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, is set to release in Japan.
One of the most loved celebrities in India, delivering one box office hit after the other, Salman Khan is in the league of megastar Rajinikanth with this release. The southern star is one of the few Indian celebrities with a massive fan following in Japan, but looks like Salman is ready to create his own fan base in the country.
Yash Raj Films’ ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which collected a whopping total of Rs 310 crore, had released on August 15 in India. The film also featuring Katrina Kaif will release in Japan on March 7.
Director Kabir Khan flew to Japan, Sunday to tour four cities to promote ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in the Japanese markets. The filmmaker had said, “This will be my second Japan trip. I went there in 1998, it was a two-days stop over when I was making a documentary. It will be fun to revisit and watch the audience reaction.”
