[tps_footer]Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’, is gearing up to play out of the box role. The actor will be seen in his filmmaker friend Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious superhero trilogy.

Ayan has been working on his ambitious project for quite sometime. The film will be a trilogy that will have the lead character inspired from Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool’. Recently, Ayan had put in a request to get an exclusive screening of uncut version of ‘Deadpool’. The filmmaker was very keen to watch the film and get inputs for his film. Currently, the film is in its scripting stage and the title is unknown. But, it seems Ayan was very inspired from the way ‘Deadpool’ was brought from comics to silver screen.
An insider from Ayan’s production house revealed that Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play the anti-hero in the film. Much like ‘Deadpool’, Ranbir’s character named ‘Dragon’ is emotionally challenged as well as has an increasing contempt for things around him. His character won’t be exactly the same as ‘Deadpool’– meaning he won’t try to change the world. Also, Ranbir’s superpowers will include unleashing fire from his palms which seems to be inspired from Human Torch from ‘Fantastic Four’ comics.

Till now, Bollywood has seen not many superhero films and all have the same story on trying to save the humanity. This would be their second time working together after giving a hit with ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. We are excited to see what Ayan and Ranbir have in store for their fans.
Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’ before he starts shooting for Ayan’s film.[/tps_footer]
