MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh seems to be caught in a date dilemma. And the victim seems to be Shaad Ali’s ‘Kill Dill’ which has now been postponed to the end of 2013.

Apparently Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’ where Ranveer plays a Gujarati Romeo to Deepika Padukone’s Juliet, is taking much longer to complete than expected.

Says a source, “Ranveer’s dates first got scrambled when Kareena Kapoor’s opted out of ‘Ram Leela’. By the time Deepika came into the picture a lot of dates allotted to Ranveer had gone to waste. On top of that the perfectionist in Sanjay Leela Bhansali needed additional dates once the shooting started. Ranveer would therefore be shooting ‘Ram Leela’ far longer into 2013 than he was expected to. The shooting is expected to wrap up in April.”

Shaad Ali who is Ranveer’s buddy and also a fan of Sanjay Bhansali’s work, has decided to wait patiently until ‘Ram Leela’ is complete. However Ranveer took on Yashraj’s ‘Gunday’ when he was never meant to start another project until he had finished shooting SLB’s ‘Ram Leela’.

Says the source, “Sanjay Bhansali was very clear on the matter. However Yashraj Films’ ‘Gunday’ couldn’t be postponed, as the project was ready and all set to roll. Ranveer had no choice but to take on overlapping projects.”

Shaad Ali confirms he would have to wait for Ranveer dates, “He’s busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. Then Ranveer had to take on ‘Gunday’ which was ready to go on the floors. I was in any case not ready yet. I’ve just started recording the songs with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Gulzar Saab. It will take me 6-8 months to complete the music recordings of ‘Kill Dill’. So I don’t mind the delay at all.”
