The movie has built a lot of curiosity and excitement around it. First, the makers of the Salman Khan-starrer Judwaa, Sajid Nadiadwala and David Dhawan, are teaming up after the gap of 12 years and are making the sequel after 19 years! The last time the duo came together was for the superhit film, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi in 2004.
Also, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline have shared the on-screen space before in Rohit Dhawan’s Dishoom; but this is the first time that Tapsee Pannu, who has gained a lot of fame and appreciation for her latest release Pink, will be seen romancing Varun Dhawan for the first time! Interestingly, it was Senior Dhawan who gave Taapsee her Bollywood break in Chashme Baddoor (2013).
Varun and David, the father-son duo last came together in 2014 romantic-comedy Main Tera Hero.
A renowned international DOP, an action coordinator, of Fast & Furious fame and a Hollywood studio have already conducted test shot for the film.
Scheduled for a September release next year, action sequences have already begun.
