Saif Ali Khan Triumphs Over Ajay Devgn And Akshay Kumar

Akshay-Ajay-SaifDrishyam is perhaps one good film that everyone wants to lay their hands on. Ekta Kapoor is fighting for it while Viacom 18 has managed to grab the rights of its remake. The Malayalam original Drisham has managed to get a huge response and so the fight is on. In fact, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar were in the race to do the film but now it seems Saif Ali Khan will get it.

ˆ is the first on screen adaptation of Japanese novel Devotion of Suspect X which had Mohanlal in the lead. It was successfully reprised in Telugu with Venkatesh in the lead and got a lot of good response. But Ekta Kapoor slapped a case on Suresh Babu to stop distribution of the film because she has the official remake rights of the Japanese novel. In the midst of all this, Viacom 18 went an bought the rights to the remake rights and are all set to start the film.

The production house had Akshay, Ajay and Saif in mind for the lead and eventually, it seems Saif has made the cut. Ekta Kapoor’s film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
