salman khan mainSalman Khan, who is charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the 2002 hit and run case, can face a jail term of up to ten years if sentenced.

The possibilities of him being sentenced is high as the three key eyewitnesses, Mannu Khan, Mohammed Kalim Iqbal Pathan and Muslim Shaikh, have told the sessions court that they saw the actor getting down from the driver’s seat of an SUV on the night of September 28, 2002 that ran over a group of people in Bandra. One person was killed and four others were injured at that incident.

They were all workers of the American Bakery outside which the accident took place. However, Salman Khan‘s lawyers have been claiming that he was not at the wheel; eyewitnesses have given a different version.

Even as the law takes its own course and in the worst case scenario if Salman Khan is proved guilty then he will be behind bars for about ten years.

He has begun shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. After that, he has No Entry Mein Entry and an untitled film with Kabir Khan.

Anil Kapoor hopes his good friend Salman Khan won’t have to serve a harsh jail term. Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan are good friends and have worked together in films like No Entry and Biwi No. 1.

When Anil Kapoor was asked to react on the development, he said, “It is a court matter so it is not fair to speculate on things. But I hope nothing like ten years in jail happens. My heart says nothing will happen.”

We too hope that nothing like this would happen and things will be sorted soon.
