Nitin stated that he has not signed Fawad for the film. He said he read some reports saying that Fawad is a part of his film, but he has not yet signed him. He quoted that someone over enthusiastic must have written those reports; he is not doing any urban love story with the Pakistani actor. When Nitin was asked about his opinion on the recent MNS threats calling to ban Pakistani actors, he said that an artist doesn’t belong to any religion or country. They are pigeons of peace who carry the flag of peace in their hands. He further added that be it cricket, theatre, music or films, if you ban them then your last hope for peace will end. Apparently, Salman is not keen in casting Fawad in his film as there’s a demand to ban all the Pakistani actors and artists from India, after the recent Uri attacks by Pakistan that killed 18 Indian soldiers.
Nitin also said that whatever is alive is because of artists like them. If they hand everything to politicians they would have destroyed it by now. The director also said that it’s absurd and stupid which they know. The claims politicians are making are only for their own vote banks. The director also revealed that he is doing a film with Salman and B R Chopra. He is even looking out for actors, but nothing has been put to paper yet.
