MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was recently awarded a jail term of five years, visited a temple in Madhya Pradesh.

Friday morning, Sanjay Dutt along with his brother-in-law Kumar Gaurav, was seen arriving at Madhya Pradesh in a private plane from Mumbai. After landing, the actor took to the road for a darshan at the Devi Peeth Temple in Datia district.

A number of fans and admirers of the Bollywood actor gathered at the local air strip to catch a glimpse of Sanjay Dutt who was dressed in a plain dhoti kurta.

Dutt is expected to return back to Mumbai in the evening itself. Official sources said that due to some training being conducted at the Shivpuri air strip, the actor was not able to land at Gwalior or Jhansi.

Recently, the Supreme Court upheld Sanjay Dutt’s conviction, under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case and sentenced the actor for a period of five years of imprisonment. He has already served a period of 18 months in jail, released on bail in 1997 and will have to serve the remaining three years and six months in a few weeks time.
