Munna Bhai, Sanjay Dutt is serving 42 months of his five year sentence and has already spent over 100 days out of the jail, either on furlough or parole. Actor’s repeated parole and furlough approvals and extensions have created a lot of controversies, because of which his recent furlough came under the scanner.
In February 2014, Bombay High Court questioned actor Sanjay Dutt’s repeated parole. The court later made it clear that it was high time the rules for such relief were looked into and that the ‘radical changes’ were needed to be brought in the Prison Rules, 1959.
Sanjay have been granted leaves from jail for one or the other reason such as to be with his family or his wife, Maanyata’s health issues. And now, Sanjay demanded an extension on his 14 days furlough, which has not been granted yet and so Sanjay will most likely return to Yerawada Jail today.
