The Ahmedabad local court issued a notice to Shah Rukh Khan’s production house as a case has been filed by Latif’s son Mushtaq Sheikh.

The case has been filed against the actor as Latif’s son in his notice has claimed that the film ‘Raees’ has portrayed his father in a bad light and his high reputation in the society is not shown in a positive manner. The petitioner further has also claimed that because of the film and the portrayal his family as a whole can get a bad name.
Latif’s son has stated for a stay on the release of the film ‘Raees’. It is being said that the makers of the film had already consulted the members of the family when they were executing SRK’s character and had also told them that the film is based on Latif’s life. Latif’s son has also demanded Rs.101 crore for the damages.

‘Raees’ is based on the life of Latif who was a part of Dawood Ibrahim’s gang. The principle role will be played by SRK and the film also features Mahira Khan. The movie is directed by Rahul Dholakia. ‘Raees’ will see King Khan in the role of a bootlegger and the movie is based on the backdrop of the 1980s.
