Akshay was supposed to be a part of Omung Kumar’s Five. In the film, the actor was supposed to play five different characters. Akshay had to commit 70 days to Omung for the same. But, the actor walked out of the film due to date issues. The film was supposed to go on the floors in January next year. The shooting was scheduled to take place in UK. But, due to his busy schedule, the actor is not doing this film anymore. Bhushan Kumar will be producing the film and Omung wants to release the film in January 2018, during Republic Day.
Currently, Akshay is shooting for Jolly LLB 2. He will be seen opposite to Huma Qureshi in the film. Jolly LLB 2 is a sequel to Arshad Warsi’s hilarious film Jolly LLB. The sequel will hit the screens on February 10, 2017. He also has another film releasing in 2017, Neeraj Pandey’s Crack. The film will be releasing during the Independence day week. It will be apparently clashing Shah Rukh Khan’s film, The Ring.
