The first song Baarish from Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend is finally out is perfect for the romantic season.
The makers of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend have released the first song, “Baarish”. Romantic songs set in the rains have created and continue to weave magic over the years. The first song of the film showcases the nervousness and the feel Arjun Kapoor goes through every time he sees Shraddha Kapoor. The romantic song has been sung by Ash King, who in the past has given us hit numbers like “Te Amo” (Dum Maaro Dum) and “I Love You” (Bodyguard).
Well, Mohit Suri is known to bring best of his music. He once again does so and brings the progression in the story with his music. However, we can’t call this to be the best. The song’s lyrics, which are written by Arafat Mehmood and Tanishk Bagchi, are surely not so connective. Well, the trailer has each and every element of the film and is expected to make fans happy.
The song is a clear progression of its story. Baarish depicts the class difference between Madhav Jha (played by Arjun) and Riya Somani (played by Shraddha). It shows how a lead actor is trying to impress his crush Riya, a high-society student of St. Stephen’s.
Starring Arjun Kapoor, as Madhav Jha & Shraddha Kapoor as Riya Somani, the film is set against the backdrop of three distinct worlds of Delhi, Patna & New York. Madhav wanted a relationship and Riya didn’t. So, she decided to be his ‘Half Girlfriend’. However, things turn ugly between the two. Arjun turns his world upside down only to reach out till Shraddha Kapoor in the film.
The film is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Chetan Bhagat, who has written the novel too. Half Girlfriend Dost se Zyada, Girlfriend se kam releases worldwide on May 19th.
