[tps_footer]Singham was supposedly just another remake of a South film by the same name. But the craze and frenzy it saw was unbelievable. Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s fabulous team came up with such fascinating stunts and the clever use of Marathi one-liners. This won the film India in general and Marathi in particular.
Hence, when the makers announced the sequel to the film, the fans were elated. Keeping the interest intact, Reliance Entertainment will unveil the first look of Singham Returns on July 07, 2014 and the trailer on July 11, 2014.
It is believed that Singham helped change people’s notion about Indian cops who are often berated for reaching the crime scene much later than the crime has been committed. So obviously the first look is much-awaited.
In fact, Rohit Shetty even confessed during an interview that the reason they are making a sequel is that they have received innumerable requests for it. Hardly a film shows police in good light and so they want more of it.
Sajid–Farhad, the writers of the film, also added that this time it is a complete novel script and not a remake.[/tps_footer]
