MUMBAI: If you are not among the ones who can handle the blood saga in “Gangs of Wasseypur 2”, then there is “Second Marriage Dot Com” that deals with the issue of second marriage. The family drama is releasing Friday.
Directed by debutant Gaurav Panjwani, “Second Marriage…”, brings to light the sensitivity of the issue. It depicts the loneliness and emptiness in the lives of single parents.
Panjwani narrates this through two youngsters – Akshay Narang (Vishal Nayak) and Poonam (Sayani Gupta), who urge their parents Shoma Upadhayay (Charu Rohtagi) and Suneel Narang (Mohit Chauhan) respectively to think about a second marriage.
“Second marriage has been a social stigma in the society but now the mindset of younger generation is changing and they understand the emotional needs of their parents,” Panjwani said.
“They are not hesitant if their single parents give themselves a second chance at love and marriage. It highlights the emotional needs of the elderly,” he added.
Made under the banner of Vin Mehta Films, the film is shot in Delhi and Jaipur and it shows how changing mindset of youngsters can bring positive change in their parents’ lives and set an example for the others to follow.
